Craig Dawson for England?
"Martin Keown and Ian Wright are big fan of Craig Dawson and absolutely raved about West Ham United defender. Thinking that there is a possibility that Southgate may give Dawson a call up."

Any thoughts on this? - (Just fearing on what happened to Dean Ashton)

Craig Dawson and Antonio for England, glad you're not England manager

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
Errr have you seen our record with him in the team???

We dont need a top youbg CB, we just need to replace Balbuena if he goes.....might even be able to do that with Ajese or Baptiste. Dawson and Oggy look like they can go another season

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
Dawson was brought in as a cover and that's what he is. Decent in a low block team but overall not very reliable. With him and Ogbonna being over 30 and Balbuena leaving I'd say we need a top young cb but doubt that's happening any time soon

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
Backed him to make the Euro squad at 33s ...... few hours later it was at 10s ......

Since then he has played 2 and scored 2 OG's

That was a cracking finish on Sunday.

I prefer Balbuena but in fairness to Dawson he earnt his place but i think he should have to step aside. The General and Ogbonna were a terrific pair. Maybe Diop has earnt the starting spot alongside Ogbonna now?

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
Dawson has reverted to type. He needs Ogbonna beside him. Besides the own goals he looked rattled and panicked for much of the game. He made a ton of mistakes at Watford and never seemed to settle. Maybe a confidence player.
Either way it's a joke people thought he was a potential England player.
I hope he can get back to the good stuff he was doing and being lucky when he cocks up.

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
We managed to make Calum chambers look like david beckham. He had the whole of the right hand side to himself yet we bring on Fredericks to help coufal out. In fact when they bought Pepe in chambers didn’t even have to get forward.
How the hell you can watch an average player destroy you and do fuck all about it is beyond me

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
For his own goal he was at fault for not cleariing the ball properly,he's done this times correctly numerous times of late,it happens, that's why goals are scored. For the third goal he Diop couldn't stop Lacazette but Cresswell for bith golas didn't cut of the cross . Linguard and Benrhama didn't track back for the goals either. Linguard can be quite guilt of this but gets away of late because he scores. Benrhama was as disgracefull as the Arsenal team were for their goals for not running back once Bowen had handled the ball,Bowen was pathectic at falling over constantly. Pick one or all of them for the faults. Very frustrating

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
Dawson has been poor for the last few games with Diop digging him out of trouble numerous times.

His goal scoring has rescued his poor play. Now the plonker is scoring at the wrong end!!!

The people who gleefully dig out players after a bad game must have very sad home lives.

"Do we just forget all his great games for us since he signed then? Is that how it works?"

That is HOW WHO works, Pagey. In the same way that earlier posters suggested, after some good games, Dawson was the best CB in the league and a shoo-in for England.

My cheeky bump of this thread was only to highlight this place's endlessly-jerking knees.

Fucking 6th! MOYES OUT!

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
You could argue that they didn't target Cresswell as the weak link but Benrahma. Coufal got done as many times today but I don't blame either. Arsenal played through the middle with ease but do we crucify Rice and Soucek for that. Cresswell wasn't given much help in front and with Diop pushing higher to try and close down that defensive midfield space Cresswell was forced in narrower.

Re: Craig Dawson for England?
I'm afraid Cresswell gets "crucified" because teams target him as the weak link and win or turn games. Left his "wand of a left foot" at home today as well.

Pagey 9:27 Sun Mar 21

Know what you mean, I find it staggering. Seems some seem to think player should have 38 great games in a season and pick out the one or two that they may not be at their best. The shit Cresswell gets does my head in. Stand out performer all season and constantly gets crucified.

It truly is as if people want certain players to fail to prove a point that doesn’t exist.

Scoring a few goals this season.

Found his standard level in the last two games.

Laughably bad in the last two games.

Alves in until Ogbonna is back.

Diop brilliant alongside him.

"He could absolutely do a job for England. Chips in with the odd goal here an there too"

Risible bump. By me.
